The Echelon Club Celebrates the launching of "Whole Child LA " at the Black & White Masquerade Ball

Celebrities and Royal figures joined forces to celebrate a spectacular evening at The Echelon Club’s annual “Black & White Masquerade Ball” supporting the launch of “Whole Child LA”, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing treatment for children who suffer from chronic pain and a variety of disabling symptoms.

It was a night of pure decadence, chic guests circulated in visions of black and white at the boutique event held in Santa Monica. Infact “The Buffalo Club” had never seen such glamour... and all in aid of the WCLA launch. The Beautiful B&W paintings of renowned artist Matt Heller and photography of Thomas Barbey were on show for the captivated audience. Guests were spoiled by the number of luxurious items available for auction. The event featured a lavish 5-course dinner along with outstanding musical performances by this years “Hollywood Music Awards” winner “Vanya Green”. The evening was hosted by Baroness Kimberly Moore along with Lonnie Zeltzer MD and Jim Moret (Inside Edition) to raise funds and awareness for the new “WCLA” clinic to open this summer.

WCLA was founded by Dr. Lonnie Zeltzer, a professor of pediatrics at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine and director of the pediatric pain program at Mattel Childrens’ Hospital at UCLA. Her long-range vision for “WCLA” is to improve the overall quality of care for children, reduce the lifetime healthcare cost burden for this population and ultimately transform health policy to ensure that an integrative mind-body approach to healthcare is available to all children.

The “WCLA” programs mission is to raise $200,000 by the summer of 2009 in order to replace its current pediatric pain program at the Hospital on the verge of closing down due to insufficient government funds.

The Echelon Club was founded by Baroness Kimberly Moore, known for organizing the most spectacular events in Los Angeles and New York. Ms. Moore has received several honors and was recently awarded an order of “Royal Crown” at the Black & White Ball by the IRC for outstanding achievement in philanthropy followed by a medal provided by Americorp for her volunteer work in the communities. Moore gave special thanks to her members of The Echelon Club for supporting such important causes like “WCLA” that benefit children in need.

The Black & White Ball was sponsored by Vibe Public Relations Worldwide, Howcast and Billonaire 500 Magazine.
